First Lady Jill Biden has begun campaigning for Vice President Harris in battleground states with less than a month left until Election Day.
Her trip began Friday with a campaign stop in Yuma, Arizona, and she is scheduled to campaign in Phoenix on Saturday. On Sunday, the first lady will visit northern Nevada, and on Monday she will visit suburban Detroit and Madison, Wisconsin.
Mr. Biden will visit his hometown of Philadelphia on Tuesday to encourage suburban voters to support Ms. Harris.
During the campaign, the first lady will focus on highlighting Harris' plans to protect reproductive rights, strengthen democracy and strengthen the economy.
With President Biden visiting Berlin on a foreign trip, the Democratic presidential candidate's campaign is greatly shaken up.
Jill Biden made headlines in July, but Biden is weighing her political future amid pressure from Democrats to drop out of the 2024 campaign following her poor performance in a debate against former President Trump. I was thinking about it. She is known as Biden's most loyal supporter and has been called his top advocate and is part of his decision-making process.
Before Mr. Biden withdrew from the race, his campaign had the first lady try to reach women voters through a “Women for Biden-Harris” campaign that involved traveling to battleground states. Mr. Biden then withdrew from the presidential race on July 21, endorsing his vice president to lead the race in November.
