Stock market analyst Jim Cramer said: evaluation The Biden administration's reputation with the business community was not positive.
Cramer said the Trump administration has been “unnecessarily hostile” to businesses and that the next Trump administration is likely to be much better. Biden delivered his farewell address on Wednesday, days before President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration.
“I think the president should have a good relationship with the business community.”
“Look, maybe it didn't matter. It turns out everything was fine. Could it have been better? Of course. Maybe with President-elect Trump, maybe not. “I can't do it,” Kramer said.
“Ultimately, I think the president should have a good relationship with the business community,” he added. “Certainly, Biden was unnecessarily hostile.”
Cramer said he was told by business leaders that Biden was reluctant to meet with them, which hurt the economy's success during his term. Cramer defended Biden, citing the stock market at historic highs and strong employment.
“Business isn't hated in this country. It doesn't need to be loved. But what's in between? Maybe everyone could have done better,” Kramer added.
Americans consistently say in polls that the economy is a major concern influencing their vote in elections. Many blamed the Biden administration and Democrats for the high inflation rates that have strained budgets and lowered living standards.
President Trump has promised to create policies that could boost the economy by cutting regulations and encouraging more investment in the United States. Even more controversial is his plan to punish foreign countries with high tariffs. Critics argue that tariffs could lead to a harmful trade war.
