Corti, the wife of Jim Edmonds, recently involved the police and sought a restraining order regarding his ex-wife, Meghan King, known from “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”
Documents obtained indicate that King, a 40-year-old reality star, visited the couple’s home on May 1st several times throughout the day.
Frontenac Police responded to reports and found King leaving the scene in her vehicle. According to their report, she attempted to contact Jim earlier that day about dropping off a dress for their daughter.
Corti asserted that King came to the house despite being told to leave. She reportedly rang the doorbell repeatedly and was specifically asked to leave the dress at the entrance.
King had reached out to Jim’s current wife to coordinate dropping off the dress for a communion event, reportedly while she was en route to St. Louis for an art engagement.
Upon her arrival at the house around 5 PM, Corti expressed frustration since she believed King had been informed that she needed to leave.
The report detailed that King refused to leave the dress and insisted on speaking with her daughter. At that moment, Corti was at a baseball game and later relayed that King seemed agitated.
After returning home, Corti claimed to have heard King yelling from inside. She looked through the front door and saw King standing a few feet away.
Corti experienced difficulties closing the door entirely, as King prevented it momentarily with her foot. Eventually, she managed to close it and reported the incident to the police.
Following the encounter, Corti filed harassment allegations and called law enforcement. Jim arrived afterward, stating he had surveillance footage related to the incident.
Despite Corti’s claims and the filed restraining order, Frontenac prosecutors declined to pursue charges, categorizing the occurrence as a domestic dispute.
Currently marked as “inactive,” the case has led to a consent order that mandates neither party approach within 150 feet of each other during children’s activities.
Additionally, both parties agreed that King would refrain from discussing Corti in public forums or social media—a move seen as an effort to avoid an extensive legal battle, as per sources.
A representative for King contended that the incidents surrounding her were misrepresented and that she was merely trying to retrieve her daughter’s dress as requested.
According to the statement from King’s camp, she did not enter the home but rather communicated through the doorway before being met with a police presence that felt overwhelming and hostile.
King’s representation emphasized the need for protection and noted her sole focus remains on her children’s wellbeing amidst this tumultuous scenario.
In closing, they described the situation as “deeply sad,” with no desire to elaborate further, wanting to shield their children from any further public discourse.
Jim and Corti expressed an intention for the facts to speak for themselves, as Jim and King share three children and were married from 2014 to 2019 before their controversial split in 2021. Jim later remarried Corti in 2022.
