Jimmie Ward faces allegations of sexual assault involving crystal meth from his former girlfriend.

Houston Texans Safety Jimmy Ward is facing a civil lawsuit involving allegations of physical and sexual assault against the mother of his three-year-old son. This incident reportedly occurred while he was under the influence of crystal meth and in front of their child, as noted in Harris County Court records.

Ward, aged 34, was arrested on June 12 on felony domestic violence charges related to accusations that he suffocated Christa West, with whom he has had a long-term relationship. He was apprehended again for testing positive for alcohol a couple of weeks back.

The pending civil lawsuit seeks over $20 million in damages, with West represented by attorney Tony Buzby.

According to the lawsuit, Ward allegedly entered the West household around 4:20 AM on June 12 and went directly to the bathroom. West describes his behavior that night as “unstable and aggressive.”

“She suspected he was under the influence of methamphetamine, especially crystal meth,” the lawsuit claims.

The document further alleges that Ward threatened to kill West, slapped her, and suffocated her, even suggesting he would “drag her into the bedroom.”

The couple’s son woke during the altercation, prompting West to console him. Allegedly, Ward then demanded oral sex from West, who complied out of fear for her safety.

When Ward attempted to locate West’s phone after accusing her of speaking to another man, she seized the chance to escape with their son, stating he was “visibly injured and naked.” She called 911, leading to Ward’s arrest.

The lawsuit also recalls an earlier incident on April 25 where Ward purportedly pretended to give West money for their son’s karate lessons but instead assaulted her in his Houston townhouse.

Ward allegedly forced West to accompany him into his home, where he later requested oral sex. West reportedly resisted and screamed, managing to escape.

Ward’s attorney, Steve Jackson, has commented on the situation, confirming awareness of the civil lawsuit filed in Harris County. He indicated that previous legal actions were initiated in Montgomery County but were dismissed.

Ward has reported to Texans training camp but is currently unable to participate physically due to paw surgery he underwent during the offseason. He is in his third season with the Texans after spending nine seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.
