Jimmy Kimmel’s Controversial Jokes Continue

Even with a granddaughter now, Jimmy Kimmel isn’t holding back on his jokes about President Trump and his family on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

At the start of Tuesday’s show, Kimmel shared that he had to cancel the previous night’s taping due to his daughter’s work. He quickly dove into humor about his new granddaughter.

“The baby is very healthy, and I named her something cute: Melania. It’s a Melania stallion,” he joked, before clarifying that her real name is Patty, “Like Melt.”

Kimmel also played a clip from a Fox News interview featuring Trump, during which the former president discussed his latest grandson’s birth. The editing gave the impression that Trump wished his family well, even though Kimmel and Trump had remained publicly quiet for a long time.

In the clip, Trump commented, “They’re really a good couple. I think they’re a great couple. And the babies are perfect. I’ll let you know in 21 years, but the baby is good, so we’re happy about it. We look forward to seeing you.” Kimmel humorously responded, “You’ve been out with her in 21 years.”

After talking about Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” and Melania Trump’s deepfake porn speech, Kimmel wrapped up his monologue by pondering what his granddaughter might think of his show in the future.

“There’s a good chance one day my granddaughter could see this monologue. You know, like when you give the newspaper to people from the day you were born. This is her version: on this day in 2025, the first lady fought deep fake porn,” he noted, adding that today’s kids have far more concerns than he did.

“Bringing kids into this world is a bit daunting… I mean, these kids worry about fires, Maga, AI,” he reflected.

“Honestly, the most dangerous things I feared as a child were quicksand, Bermuda triangles, and killer bees. That was a terrifying trio for me. I haven’t encountered any of those yet,” Kimmel added.
