Jimmy Kimmel gave ‘marching orders’ to vandalize Teslas: Scott Jennings

CNN commentator Scott Jennings accused Jimmy Kimmel of giving left-leaning viewers a “mart” to destroy property on Thursday after the ABC late-night comedy host began to appear to have sarcasmed to viewers to avoid destroying Tesla vehicles.

“The message to conservatives from the left of America is unmistakable: silence yourself or we will do it for you. This is not a comedy – these are march orders.” Jennings wrote on his X account.

CNN experts were responding to a video clip of Kimmel's monologue from his ABC show on Tuesday night. He told cheering audiences that Tesla's stock has fallen amidst the backlash against CEO Elon Musk for his role in the Trump administration.

“People are destroying Tesla vehicles. New Tesla vehicles. Don't destroy them. Don't destroy Tesla vehicles,” Kimmel said before taking a long pause while the audience laughed.

On the show Tuesday night, Kimmel humorously spoke about mask management practices and Tesla's stock price decline.

Speaking to the audience at his live studio, Kimmel joked: “Our co-president Elon Musk sent a SpaceX vehicle to bring the astronauts back, and when they landed, he fired them as soon as they landed.”

He follows this and highlights Tesla's troublesome financial situation. “Tesla stocks have fallen almost miserably,” he sarcastically instructed viewers not to destroy Tesla cars.

He responded to criticism from Musk, who told Fox News' Sean Hannity. “Tesla is a peaceful company. I've never done anything terrible. I think we're just confused…There's something about mental illness going on here. It's meaningless. ”

In response to Musk's apparent confusion over the hostility directed at his company, Kimmel commented on Wednesday:

Kimmel then amplified his criticism, saying, “This poor man. You'll give one, maybe two Nazi salutes, and everyone will get sick.”
