Former MLB World Series champion Jimmy Rollins stirred up interest on social media when he shared posts promoting The Pretty Kitty Klub, a brand specializing in women’s underwear and apparel, on Instagram this past Wednesday.
Currently working as an analyst for TNT Sports, Rollins declared in his Instagram bio that he is a co-founder of the brand. In his posts, he featured photos of women modeling various products, as well as text messages from pleased customers.
Some followers expressed skepticism, wondering if the 47-year-old Hall of Fame candidate had been hacked, especially noting that his name does not appear on the brand’s website.
The company clarified in a statement to The Post, saying, “Mr. Rollins is a co-founder of Pretty Kitty Klub. Jimmy has taken a more private role, focusing on the company’s long-term vision, strategic growth, and business development. That’s why he isn’t currently featured on the website.”
Desiree LeSassier, the founder and CEO, emphasized that Pretty Kitty Klub is designed with a woman’s perspective in mind, leading product development and daily operations. LeSassier brings experience from sports and entertainment, working on brand strategy and partnerships with notable organizations, including the Lakers, Dodgers, and Magic Johnson Enterprises.
Rollins had a lengthy MLB career that spanned 17 seasons, mainly with the Phillies, while also playing for the Dodgers and White Sox. He left the sport with a batting average of .264, 231 home runs, and 936 RBIs.
His accolades include being a Silver Slugger in 2007, the year he was named National League MVP, along with three All-Star selections and four Gold Gloves.
