Dr. Joan Collins experienced a deeply proud moment over the weekend.
The 92-year-old British actress walked her son, Alexander Newley, down the aisle at his wedding to Sheila Raman in Salzburg, Austria.
The couple shared snippets from their wedding day on Instagram, showing moments like the 60-year-old Newley and Collins embracing during the ceremony at a picturesque castle by the lake.
The “Dynasty” star and her son both wore elegant light blue outfits complete with matching hats and white heels, perfect for the occasion.
In one clip, Collins sat proudly in the front row as Newley and Raman’s three-year-old daughter, Deia Shanaya, made her way down the aisle.
Newley looked dapper in a classic black-and-white suit, while Raman surprised guests in a vintage-inspired lace gown.
“What a gift it is to step into this new chapter surrounded by our beloved friends and family,” the newlyweds captioned their post.
“Our wedding day was more than just a celebration. It truly represents the creative life we are building together, rich with music, laughter, and love. We are incredibly grateful to family and friends who traveled far and wide to share this sacred day with us.”
Collins commented on their post, reflecting, “It was a magical three days.”
Newley and Raman had initially become engaged in 2019, but their original wedding plans in the South of France were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Newley was previously married to jewelry designer Angela Tassoni, with whom he shares a daughter, Ava Grace.
Collins had Newley with her late second husband, Anthony Newley. They were married from 1963 to 1970 and had another daughter, Tara, who is now 61.
Anthony passed away from kidney cancer in 1999 at the age of 67. Collins has another daughter, Katyana Cass, 53, who is married to her third husband, Ron Cass. Meanwhile, Collins has been married to her fifth husband, Percy Gibson, since 2002.
In a 2024 interview with Hello! magazine, Collins stated, “What makes me happy is seeing my kids happy.” She added, “Life, in general, brings me joy, and I recognize how fortunate I am. I’ve worked hard for everything I have; nothing has been handed to me. But every morning, I wake up grateful.”
