US President Joe Biden has received the latest coronavirus vaccine in addition to his annual flu shot, his doctor said on Saturday.
Kevin O’Connor, the president’s personal physician, said the U.S. leader hopes other countries will follow his lead.
U.S. authorities last week authorized an updated version of Pfizer and Moderna’s anti-COVID-19 vaccines that are more adapted to the variants of the virus currently in circulation.
They also now recommend that all Americans over the age of 60 get vaccinated against RSV (respiratory syncytial virus).
