President Joe Biden is going all in on Hollywood to raise money for his 2024 re-election bid, as new polls show his poll numbers have fallen to the lowest level of his presidency.
On Friday, Joe Biden will rub elbows with Steven Spielberg, Rob Reiner, Shonda Rhimes and others. They are among the co-hosts of a glitzy Los Angeles party where Hollywood bigwigs will rain money on the 81-year-old president.
Other co-hosts include former Paramount president Jim Gianopulos and mega-producer Peter Chernin. Tickets can cost up to $500,000. Paying $25,000 will give you access to the photo line.
The shindig will be Biden's first major Hollywood fundraiser since the end of the writers' and actors' strike.
Hollywood is turning on Biden's fundraising machine as the president's approval ratings sink to embarrassingly low levels.
As reported by Breitbart News, Biden's approval rating has fallen to its lowest level since he took office in November, according to CNN's latest poll.
Biden's approval rating in November was 37%, down 2 points from October and the lowest since he took office in 2021.
In 2020, Hollywood celebrities and executives became Biden's major backers. Major donors included Disney's Bob Iger, Steven Spielberg, Rob Reiner and Barbra Streisand. The late Norman Lear also generously gave his ticket to the Democratic Party.
Jeffrey Katzenberg is leading Biden's re-election effort, with the former Disney boss pledging to provide the deeply unpopular president with “all the resources” he needs to win re-election in 2024.
