John Calipari’s daughter could hardly watch Arkansas’ win

John Calipari's daughter was experiencing it while sitting in the stands during Arkansas' fierce battle victory over Kansas in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday night.

The CBS camera captured Megan Calipari by pushing her head into her lap as the Razorbacks ran 7-0 and rose four times to play in under two minutes from the left.

Calipari's 10th seed Razorback confused the seventh seed Jayhawks, ages 79-72, at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island.

Megan leaned into her seat while her mother, Ellen Calipari, patted on the back, as seen in social media videos.

The Razorbacks fell three points in the second half before gaining momentum, three minutes later.

Megan, who matched her mother in a red shirt, was barely able to see her.

Joining Instagram stories after the game, Megan was re-shameed by the photo from the moment she was captioned. “I can breathe right now!”

The image shows Ellen appears to be consoleting Megan after Arkansas advanced to the second round to face St. John's on Saturday.

“Hey, thank you guys for asking, but no, I'm not alright,” Megan wrote.

There was additional pressure for Calipari to enter Madness 2025 in March as Arkansas secured its first NCAA Tournament victory since Arkansas reached the Sweet 16 under then-coach Eric Musselman in 2023.

Calipari won the 58th NCAA Tournament and marked him Leading all active coaches, Breaking the tie with Kansas head coach Bill Self.

Arkansas will oppose No. 2 Seed St. John's on Saturday at 2:40pm ET.
