John Cena’s Final WWE Match Scheduled
John Cena, a prominent figure in WWE, is set to end his remarkable wrestling career with his last match planned for December 13th at the Capital One Arena in Washington.
Making his debut on SmackDown in 2002, Cena faced Kurt Angle in an open challenge, marking the beginning of a legacy. Over the years, he left an unforgettable imprint on the industry, eventually becoming a 17-time WWE Champion at WrestleMania 41.
Court Bauer, the founder of Major League Wrestling, has shared insights into Cena’s character during a recent interview. He reflected on Cena’s hard work and professionalism throughout his journey in the wrestling world, particularly during the years he spent rising through the ranks. Bauer mentioned, “John Cena was the guy Vince McMahon was looking for throughout his career as a promoter. He comes in early, stays late, and is both a soldier and a leader, always eager to help uplift his colleagues.” Bauer remarked that Cena never complained and consistently exceeded expectations.
Bauer noted that while other wrestlers of the era had their grievances, Cena stood out as only a dedicated and hard-working talent. “Cena started and ended strong and remained consistent,” Bauer added. “My experiences working with him were wonderful; he was always positive and focused on delivering the best for fans.” It’s interesting how his optimistic attitude persisted, showing up in projects outside of wrestling, including the “Peacemaker” series and commercials.
Cena’s final match will be against whoever wins the Last Time is Now tournament, setting the stage for a successor who might carry forward the company’s legacy into 2026.
As of now, Cena has four remaining appearances, with the first of those being on Monday night in Boston.
