Cena also spoke about the idea of turning the heel in 2012. Chris Van Vriette podcast last year. However, a dramatic turn from being so loved by fans to turning his back on everything his character had endured for years or more until Saturday.
Then the comparison rang out. The heel turn was big. Hulk Hogan was the third man in the world order in the beach bash in 1996, and turned on World Championship Wrestling (WCW) or is it China?
Hogan weighed for him in an interview with Justin Barrasso Substack “Indisputable.”
“It's one of the best heel turns I've seen in a long time,” Hogan said. “All the major players were involved. I couldn't say enough about the rock either. He was incredible. They did it right, I'll tell you.”
Hogan added. Cena is not doing what he was doing now – essentially shaking hands and kissing the baby. He called it “larger than the angle of wrestling.”
By the time Hogan decided to become the “bad guy” of professional wrestling, his gimmick of “eating your prayers and vitamins” was said to have been outdated. At the time, professional wrestling fans thought Hogan could match Kevin Nash and Scott Hall.

Turn kicked out the rule of the New World Order faction. WCW defeated WWE with an 83-week rating, with other companies finally correcting the ship and purchasing WCW.
Cena began her career wanting to make a good impression in the company's “ruthless attacks” era, then transformed into a rapper who eliminates crowds and drops freestyle rap tracks on her enemies.
He became one of the most popular wrestlers to date, and even set a record of most make-a-wish foundation wishes allowed. He won the WWE Championship 13 times and the World Heavyweight Championship three times. Another title victory sets the record.
When he announced his retirement last summer, it was that his farewell tour would happen. He embarked on a journey in the Royal Rumble, but was eliminated only to become his final competitor.
Then the signs seemed to be there. He declared himself a competitor in the men's elimination chamber match without acquiring the place. He then paired himself with Locke and asked Rhodes to become “his champion.”
