John Daly injury requires “injections” amid PGA Tour Champions Chubb Classic WD

John Daly found himself in the spotlight after the first round of the Chubb Classic, a PGA Tour Champions event in Naples, Florida. However, during Saturday’s second round, an old injury resurfaced and he was forced to withdraw from the tournament.

Sunday morning, daily posted on social media To provide insight to fans.

“Unfortunately, yesterday, the second shot of my 6 hit the hard ground and it flared up again, so I had to undergo surgery for osteoarthritis in my left hand…I hope I can make it through four months after the doctor gave me an injection. I hope — Champions Tour goes to Morocco, thank you Dr. Brian ”Wallace of Naples! ” Daley posted.

He included an image of him clearly in great pain.

The second shot he mentioned lost direction and ended up carding an 11 on the hole. Somehow, the 57-year-old scraped out another 10 holes before ultimately withdrawing from the tournament.

Daley has been plagued by numerous injuries in recent years. Daly missed the PGA Championship last year due to a knee injury.

This is an unfortunate development, as Daly has long been popular among golf fans. His everyday antics on the track are relatable. He plays golf the way he wants to play and does not subscribe to the traditional, stuffy nature of golf.

Sadly, his days of competing in major tournaments are long gone.

As for the Chubb Classic, bad weather forced the tournament to be decided after just 36 holes. Stephen Ames finished with a three-stroke lead over Rocco Mediate and was crowned the champion.
