Both the Blue Jacket and Red Wings paid tribute to Johnny Gordrow before the Stadium Series clash on Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
All Columbus players were dressed like Gordrows and led to the venue by his family, while Detroit players wore various Gaudrow jerseys from their previous teams.
The late Blue Jacket star, Gordrow and his brother Matthew, were hit and killed by suspected drunk drivers on their way home in New Jersey the day before their sister's wedding, while riding their bikes in August.

The team wears black Ugg boots, black sweatpants, three stars and worn black amiri hats ahead, according to the outlet.
“His style was undoubtedly more unique and more relaxed,” Blue Jacket defender Zach Werenski told NHL.com. “He always wore the same thing, and I think that made him a special person in a way, part of that was his style.
“We just thought it was a great idea to dress like him.”
Some Red Wings players wore Boston College jerseys. Before being selected for the flames in the 2011 NHL Draft, Gaudreau nodded to where he played for the NCAA.
Others wore Team USA jerseys featuring his 13th place at their entrance.
Gaudreau's wife Meredith and their two children, Noa and Johnny Jr., were among the group that led Blue Jacket players to the venue before playing the first outdoor game in franchise history.
A tribute was poured into the Gordrow brothers from across the hockey community, including an emotional home opener in Columbus in October and a faceoff for the Four Nations in February, when Johnny Gaudrow's 13th place occupying the food stalls in Team USA locker room.
And during the Columbus match against the Blackhawks on February 23rd, his son, Johnny Jr., celebrated his first birthday with fans singing to him. Meredith later wrote in a post on Instagram story, which she said “helped make Son's Day something very special.”
“I know that baby Johnny's dad is grateful for this and a big win,” she writes.
His jersey was also available on Saturday in the Ohio State locker room. According to NBC4 Columbus.
