Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedul Sanders drew criticism last week after appearing to shift the blame for his team's offensive struggles onto the linemen protecting him.

“If I was an offensive lineman at Colorado, I'd be absolutely pissed. I mean, I honestly don't know how you could do this,” the former star quarterback said. New York Post“I don't understand why anyone would sacrifice the people they work with, who work so hard every week.”
Manziel spoke about Sanders' six interceptions due to poor throwing and said he took a lot of “blame” on that play.
Sanders left the game with just minutes left and spoke about why the offense didn't play as well as expected.
“I mean, how many touches did Raiola get?” Sanders asked of Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola. Sports Illustrated“Obviously, if you can run the ball consistently, your passing will start to get done.

“But you have to understand what your team is good at. You go on the field and you're in a situation where you absolutely have to score, and you're not going to score, why keep running the ball?”
Manziel said victimizing a teammate is one of the cardinal sins of the game that a player must never commit.
“You know, you've got to stick together through thick and thin,” Manziel added. “Obviously, there are times when you get frustrated and stuff happens, but to me and from my past experience, the offensive line is the guys that run with you and stick with you.”
“When the quarterback gets a late attack, the first people he sees are the offensive linemen. After a couple of guys on the defense make an attack, some offensive linemen might be hesitant to take a hit.”

Sanders and Colorado will have a big game coming up on Saturday night when they take on Colorado State.
