Johnny Manziel’s girlfriend says her Instagram was hacked after graphic photos were reportedly posted on her page and accused the former Texas A&M quarterback of domestic violence.
“I got hacked last night,” Kenzie Warner wrote on her Instagram story on Wednesday. “I got my account back.
“Ignore what’s posted. It’s not what it looks like.”
According to TMZa post containing four photos of the injured Werner’s face and body was posted around midnight Tuesday with the caption, “This is from Johnny Manziel.”
The post reportedly showed Werner suffering from various injuries, including bruises on his chest, blood near his nose, and markings around his eyes.
The outlet said the suspected post contained a link to Manziel’s Instagram account and was removed minutes after it was published.
Werner’s agent, Tyler Terry, told TMZ that the photo had nothing to do with Manziel or the couple’s relationship, and said the former Cleveland Browns quarterback never abused a client of his. .
Manziel and Warner were reportedly together in Arizona hours before Tuesday night’s post.
According to the outlet, Werner’s injuries weren’t due to a domestic incident, but the result of a workplace accident in which a 3-liter bottle of champagne fell on her.
Based in Houston, Werner works in the hospitality and beauty fields.
Her Instagram bio includes links to accounts for Bottled Blonde, a pizzeria, beer garden and nightlife spot in Houston.
It’s unclear when Manziel and Warner started dating, but they were first spotted in Miami in early 2022 and rumored to be dating.
Manziel reportedly went public with their relationship in April 2022. Werner shared a photo on his shoulder while partying in Miami.
In December 2016, Manziel agreed to drop domestic violence charges after he was accused of punching and threatening ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley during a night out in January of that year.
Manziel, 30, currently plays for the Zappers of the Fan Control Football League.
The quarterback was selected 22nd overall by the Browns in the 2014 NFL Draft after a successful run at Texas A&M, becoming the first freshman to win the 2012 Heisman Trophy.
Manziel spent three years at Texas A&M and has the most career rushing yards (2,169) of any Aggies quarterback.
