Johnny Manziel’s mom arrested in Texas

The mother of quarterback Johnny Manziel, who won the Heisman Trophy, was reportedly arrested on Saturday on DWI charges in Texas.

Michelle Manziel was arrested in Kerrville. TMZ Sports It has been reported. She was detained on $7,500 bail, but was later released from custody, according to the report.

Manziel is a Texas relay. She has not commented on the reported arrests.

Johnny Manziel was born in Tyler, but grew up in Kerrville and attended Tibby High School, where he began playing football. He played a little baseball again. He emerged as one of the top high school football players in Texas before committing to Texas A&M.

He won the Heisman Trophy alongside the Aggies, and was the first round NFL draft pick for the Cleveland Browns. However, national spotlight times, partying habits and running in with law ultimately ended his professional soccer career.

Late last year, he spoke with students and his struggles with addiction during his recovery Q&A at the University of Alabama's Vital Health Conference.

He showed during the meeting that alcohol had no place in his life either. He also showed that the experience taught him new ways to manage potential future successes. He was surrounded by consultants who pushed him back when necessary. He said he learned in the past from too much unanimous support from those around him.

“I'm starting to develop and there are many men around me,” Manziel said. “It's me who is in the mind of that impact group, and managing success is not about solo. You need to have a support system and rely on things in your life.”
