A staffer for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) reportedly resigned after receiving complaints about his behavior, according to multiple sources.
source of information Confirmed Anang Mittal, who was Johnson’s head of digital, resigned on Thursday following complaints about his performance and unprofessional conduct in the workplace, Notus was told.
Mittal confirmed his resignation to the newspaper, adding that it had been a “pleasure and honor” to work there.
“I’m just picking up the pieces and moving on,” Mittal said in a statement. “I don’t have much to suggest or criticize. It was a pleasure to work there.”
When asked by the media about the complaint lodged against Mittal, Prime Minister Johnson’s office said: “We do not comment on personnel matters.”
Mittal’s resignation reportedly comes a month after Johnson’s firm parted ways with the graphic designer, multiple sources said. Confirmed To Semaphore political reporter Kadia Goba.
Prior to working in Johnson’s office, Mittal served as creative director for Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and majority leader under Sen. John Thune (R-South Dakota). During that time, he served as creative director of the Senate Republican Conference.Leadership according to his LinkedIn page.
