Jon Berti slams Dodgers’ World Series trash talking of Yankees

John Berty didn't appreciate the story of the trash that came from the Dodgers Clubhouse after Los Angeles defeated the Yankees in the World Series last October.

In fact, disrespect has crossed the line in Berty's mind to the point that the Yankees are diminishing what they did to reach the fall classic in the first place.

“I don't know if you've heard of a team that won the World Series. I said this on Wednesday's “foul territory.”. “It felt like we were being downplayed to the point that we weren't part of the World Series.”

Berty spent last season with the Yankees, playing in four postseason games in the team's run to the World Series.

The Dodgers defeated the Yankees in five games, and the Bronx bombers were particularly struggling defensively.

“We won a lot of games last year. We won the division,” Berty said. “We looked after Kansas City and looked after Cleveland, so we deserved to be there, unfortunately, we didn't perform as best.”

However, the Dodgers have proven that the Yankees are far too difficult to overcome.

Freddie Freeman's 10th walk-off grand slam bottom prevented the Yanks from stealing a victory in Game 1.

The Yankees stopped the sweep with a Game 4 victory at Yankee Stadium.

“Unfortunately, we met a team that played better than us in the 7-game series and they deserved to win,” Berty said. “So I think they can say anything they want at this point.”

Berty will play for Windy City this season after the infielder signed a one-year contract with the Cubs last week.
