Jon Bon Jovi was in the right place at the right time on Tuesday when he helped talk a woman out of jumping off a bridge in Nashville, Tennessee.
The “Livin' on a Prayer” singer was shooting a music video on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge when he spotted a woman in a “crisis situation,” Fox News Digital reported.
“Thank you to @jonbonjovi and his team for rescuing a woman on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge Tuesday night,” a Metro Nashville Police Department official shared on X. “Bon Jovi convinced a woman to evacuate a cliff above the Cumberland River to safety.”

“It takes all of us working together to keep each other safe,” Police Chief John Drake added in a statement.
Bon Jovi has a knack for helping others, having founded the JBJ Soul Foundation in 2006 with the goal of “identifying and maximizing the human potential of those affected by hunger, poverty and homelessness by establishing programs that provide food and affordable housing, and supporting social service and job training programs.”

What began as a small effort in Philadelphia has since expanded to 12 states, serving thousands of people, including young people and veterans, according to the nonprofit.
