Jon Bon Jovi Talks Woman Out of Jumping from Bridge

Singer Jon Bon Jovi was seen stopping a woman who was reportedly in distress from jumping off a bridge in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday.

Video footage of the moment shows the “Livin' on a Prayer” singer approaching a woman standing outside on the railing of Nashville's Siegenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

Bon Jovi is then seen standing next to the woman on the other side of the guardrail as he and a crew member talk to her and convince her to get off the bridge.

A few minutes later, the “Keep the Faith” singer can be seen climbing onto the other side of the parapet and helping the woman down from the cliff.

The Bon Jovi frontman reportedly tried to dissuade the woman from committing suicide, but happened to be on the bridge filming a music video. Report From WMSV.

The Nashville Fire Department and Metro Nashville Police Department responded to the scene.

“Thank you to @jonbonjovi and his team for rescuing a woman on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge Tuesday night,” the Metro Nashville Police Department said in a Wednesday X post. “Bon Jovi convinced a woman to evacuate from a cliff above the Cumberland River to safety.”

Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake added, “We all need to work together to keep each other safe.”
