Former reality star Jon Gosselin is embarking on a unique weight loss journey with his daughter Hannah.
“I became complacent with my health,” Gosselin told Entertainment Tonight, admitting that she had gained a lot of weight.
Fox News Digital confirmed that he and 19-year-old Hannah will be given semaglutide, a generic version of Ozempic, a popular type 2 diabetes and currently common weight loss drug. Gosselin also started CellSound therapy, which uses an ultrasound machine to tighten skin while reducing fat. Hannah also plans to begin treatment.

Gosselin attributes her weight gain to her unconventional job as a DJ and her travel schedule. “Vegas, Miami…I go to places where I’m twice as tall as other people,” he told ET about how his weight affects his profession.
“This is the first time I’ve had to buy an XL!” the 46-year-old said of the jacket. “Also, XL doesn’t really fit me because I’m short. I’m 5-foot-8…the sleeves are too long. Similarly, unless you wear tailored clothes. Why should I go through that? Can I just change my lifestyle?”

“I don’t think it’s bad for anyone to gain weight,” Hannah said of their situation. “It happens.”
The couple will receive treatment from wellness expert Dan Holtz of Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center.
Holtz told the outlet he had devised a “short-term plan” for Gosselin. “Once I reach my goal, I will actually be teaching John about his lifestyle and how to maintain healthier lifestyle choices,” he said.

Gosselin added that her desire to look good, along with her horrendous family history, were the ultimate motivations for solving her weight struggles.
“Heart disease runs in my family. My father had congestive heart failure. He passed away almost 18 years ago,” Gosselin explained. “He passed away at 62 and his father passed away at 65, so we’re documenting things like that.”

Gosselin has a large family and has eight children with ex-wife Kate Gosselin: twins Maddie and Cara, and sextuplets Alexis, Arden, Collin, Leah, Joel, and Hannah.
The ‘John & Kate Plus 8’ star has only been in regular contact with Hannah and Colin after his controversial divorce from Kate in 2009.
