Reigning Masters champion Jon Rahm recently sat down with ESPN’s Marty Smith and talked about the tumultuous past year.3rd ranked golfer in the world We talked about various things, Being haunted by Tiger Woods, why he left LIV Golf, and more.
The term ghosting usually refers to a relationship that ends when one party cuts off all communication for no reason. Most of the time, people don’t want to tell people that someone ghosted them, but Rahm couldn’t hide after Woods asked him if he had heard from him.
“Tiger? No, it’s not…Tiger, I texted him and the people I was trying to contact throughout the process as I signed,” Rahm said. “I just told him, ‘This is a personal decision. I have nothing against anyone.'”
Rahm did not provide further details about Woods, but told Smith that Rory McIlroy was providing public and private support.
Northern Irish people have changed their attitude towards LIV golf in recent months, but not everyone has.
Woods is a member of the PGA Tour Policy Committee, which helps make decisions regarding the future of the PGA Tour. Tiger hasn’t made many public appearances since Rahm left in December, but he didn’t say much about his relationship with the Spaniard when asked about the situation.
Rahm admitted in an interview with ESPN that he quit for financial gain. He explained to Smith that the major changes in the way professional golf compensates players is appealing.
“I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a big part,” he said. “In short, I get paid more and have more time to play the same sport. I don’t know about most people, but for me it’s great. I think.”

So the two-time major winner’s previous comment that money wouldn’t change his views on his loyalty to the PGA Tour now certainly seems foolish. right.
Asked why he changed his mind, Rahm said, “Something has changed since I said that.” He then referred to the June 6 framework agreement, albeit shortly before admitting it was a matter of money and time.
Unsurprisingly, when asked about his criticism of Saudi Arabia’s PIF sportswash, he dodged the question like other LIV golfers.
Ultimately Rahm decided to play on the LIV Tour. This week will be his third team event with Legion XIII and he will be looking to win his second title of the year.
