Jon Taffer Opens Taffer’s Tavern in Orlando

This week marked the grand opening of Taffer’s Tavern in Orlando, an event eagerly anticipated by many. The celebrated bar expert Jon Taffer, well-known from “Bar Rescue,” hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new venue, located in the heart of the bustling I Drive entertainment district.

The tavern is conveniently situated just a stone’s throw from the Orange County Convention Center and several hotels, as well as being a short drive from the upcoming Universal Epic Universe.

“To me, Orlando is just the jewel of America,” Taffer mentioned during his conversation with FOX Business. He spoke about the city’s vibrant tourism and international appeal, emphasizing how it showcases a part of America to the world. It’s rewarding, he added, to be involved with such a prominent destination.

Taffer recalled visiting Orlando since the early 1970s, the year Walt Disney World opened. At the grand opening of Taffer’s Tavern, his wife participated too, helping out with operations and engaging with guests.

One of the highlights of the menu is Taffer’s Brown Butter Bourbon, which he developed during one of the “Bar Rescue” episodes. It’s featured in signature cocktails and food offerings at the tavern.

As the 10th season of “Bar Rescue” prepares to launch, Taffer announced that another Taffer’s Tavern location will be opening soon, this time in Atlanta, expected in just a few weeks.

The franchisee for Taffer’s Tavern, Nilesh Patel, expressed excitement about the Orlando location, stating it’s the perfect city for the launch. Patel noted the area’s energy, diversity, and ongoing visitor influx make it an ideal setting for a new restaurant and bar experience.

With its comforting ambiance, the tavern invites both locals and tourists to savor its handcrafted cocktails and comfort food. As Taffer continues to expand his brand, the opening signifies an exciting new chapter for both him and the restaurant scene in Orlando.
