Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) aired an ad Thursday boasting that Democrats oppose the Biden administration's anti-gun education policies that he helped pass.
Tester's ad claims he has “joined together my Republican colleagues to block Biden's policies and protect Second Amendment rights.”
Mr. Tester said the Defense Hunter Education Act would be revised after the Biden administration, through the Department of Education (DOE), interpreted the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA) to prohibit federal funding for school archery and gun safety programs. I sponsored it. Tester's bipartisan bill would restore funding to these gun safety programs.
The administration's BSCA includes provisions that prohibit funds that assist persons with dangerous weapons or provide “training in the use of dangerous weapons.”
But if testers didn't cooperate, there would be no need to sponsor the Defense Hunter Education Act. Passed B.S.C.A.
The Montana Democratic Party wrote an op-ed in September calling for reining in the Biden administration's interpretation of the BSCA, saying the administration had “misunderstood” the BSCA.
Breitbart News reported:
Tester has introduced a bipartisan bill to reverse the effects of gun control legislation he helped pass, but it remains unclear whether the bill will pass Congress. It would require 60 votes in the Senate to pass, and a majority in the House.
Hunting and Second Amendment organizations, including Safari Club International, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the International Order of T. Roosevelt, the Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation, and the National Rifle Foundation, have condemned the Biden administration.
Now, facing re-election and reeling from the impact of supporting gun control legislation, Montana Democrats appear to be trying to reverse the impact of their support for gun control.
tester I have written In his September op-ed, he said:
The bottom line is that anyone who has lived in rural America knows that shooting sports and hunting are just part of the Montana way of life.Initiatives to Strip these schools of their safety courses. They're just the latest example of Washingtonians not understanding rural communities. I will do my best to stop them from doing that.
Senate Republican Tim Sheehy, who is seeking to oust Tester, said: “I'm tired of corrupt career politicians in the Republican and Democratic parties who run for office after office and come to Washington, D.C. to get rich. I love going there and talking about “fighting for.” Meanwhile, our problems are only getting worse.
“It's time for conservative outsiders to kick out these wrongdoers. #RetireTester”
I hate the corrupt Republicans and Democrats who love to run candidate after candidate, go to DC to get rich, and talk about “fighting for themselves” even though the problem is only getting worse. I'm tired of career politicians.

What a joke! He voted for the bill that caused the problem in the first place. He creates the disease and takes credit for providing the cure. Wasn't he the villain in a Bond movie?
