Jonas Brothers claim Buzz Aldrin declined to take a photo with them

Buzz Aldrin and the Jonas Brothers: A Memorable Interaction

Buzz Aldrin has certainly made an impression on the Jonas Brothers, although not quite in the way they might have hoped. In a recent episode of “Last Meal,” a segment from Josh Scherer’s “Mythical Kitchen” on YouTube, Joe Jonas recounted a rather awkward moment from 2017 when they tried to approach Aldrin.

“He refused to take a photo with me,” Joe shared about the 95-year-old astronaut. Kevin chimed in, confirming Joe’s story.

Joe explained, “Someone suggested we should get a picture with him. So, I went up and asked.” They were at a Dallas Cowboys game at the time—a setting where, normally, people might be more open to photos.

He recalled, “I hesitated a bit and said, ‘Sorry, can I take a photo?’ He just flat-out said, ‘No!’” It was an unusual moment for a fans-to-celebrity interaction. Joe reflected that normally, that type of environment would elicit a more positive response.

Aldrin had previously posted about meeting the brothers on social media, expressing enthusiasm for their encounter at the game.

The brothers lightened the mood on the podcast. Joe jestingly referred to Aldrin as “the Man of the Moon.” Kevin pointed out that both the Jonas Brothers and Aldrin share a place in the New Jersey Hall of Fame, showcasing their diverse achievements.

Kevin joked that perhaps the brothers should have handled the situation differently so they would have gotten that coveted photo. “Maybe it’s him,” he said, implying there could be something about Aldrin that was just, well, unapproachable at that moment.

As for the Jonas Brothers, they’re gearing up for a busy year. In March, they celebrated their own induction into the New Jersey Hall of Fame. They’re also set to release their eighth studio album, “Greetings From Your Hometowns,” on August 8th and kick off their “Living the Dream Tour” shortly after.

This tour marks a special milestone as they celebrate two decades in the music industry. “We’re excited to hit the road and honor our fans,” they expressed. They seem ready to make this tour a memorable one, connecting with fans through the years and the music they’ve created together.
