Jonathan Owens continues to be Simone Biles’ biggest fan.
The Bears safety, who flew overnight from Chicago to Paris, proudly wore a T-shirt featuring his wife in the stands as the superstar gymnast led the United States to gold in the team all-around final at the Bercy Arena on Monday.
Owens, who was allowed to miss Bears training camp to attend the Summer Olympics, sat with Biles’ parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles (who are also Owens’ biological grandparents).
They adopted Biles along with her sister, Adria, when she was six years old.
His shirt featured a picture of Biles, 27, in a red, white and blue leotard.
She overcame a calf injury suffered in qualifying two days earlier to help the U.S. team win gold in Paris, having taken home a silver medal as runner-up to Russia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Owens, 29, was seen sitting in the stands holding a stat sheet and pen, a tradition he has while watching his wife’s games.
The couple got married last year.

After Biles put the U.S. in an early lead on the balance beam with a score of 14.400 to beat teammate Jordan Childs’ 14.366, he rose to his feet, cheering and waving his arms.
Owens, who signed a two-year contract with Chicago in March, arrived in Paris on Tuesday, as seen in a series of posts on his Instagram Stories.
Also in attendance at the women’s team final were Michael Phelps, the Olympic medalist in history with 28 medals, as well as tennis legend Serena Williams, actresses Natalie Portman and Nicole Kidman, and film director Spike Lee.
Phelps and Lee were shown applauding Biles on the NBC broadcast.
Biles and Chiles competed in four events Tuesday: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.
Biles finished off her final rotation with a stunning floor routine, earning her a score of 14.666.
U.S. gymnast Suni Lee competed on the uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise, while Jade Carey competed on the vault.
Sixteen-year-old Hezly Rivera, a rookie on the U.S. team, did not compete in the women’s final but still won the gold medal.
