Upset in UNC Athletics: Jordon Hudson’s Influence on AJ Ferrari
Jordon Hudson has stirred things up again in the athletics scene at the University of North Carolina.
The Tar Heels were close to recruiting one of the NCAA’s standout wrestlers, AJ Ferrari, but Hudson reportedly played a role in his decision to head elsewhere, allegedly due to some influence from Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, who is 24 years old.
As a result, Ferrari is now wrestling in Nebraska.
Mark Manning, the Nebraska Wrestling Coach, recounted how Rob Koll, the North Carolina wrestling coach, contacted him when Ferrari wasn’t accepted into UNC. “AJ had already done some training, but they never enrolled him for various reasons,” Manning explained. “Bill Belichick’s girlfriend had something to do with that.”
Ferrari commenced his collegiate career in Oklahoma, where he won a national title as a freshman. However, his journey took a turn when he was dismissed during a sexual assault investigation.
In August 2022, Ferrari was charged with sexual assault, though these charges were dropped by October 2023. Following this, he moved to Bakersfield, California, to further his wrestling career.
Details on how exactly Hudson influenced UNC’s choice regarding Ferrari are a bit murky, but Manning is certain she played a part.
Manning mentioned, “It’s very serious,” indicating that Hudson was involved in other drama related to men’s basketball players as well.
“Rob was pretty disappointed. He invested a lot of effort to bring AJ to North Carolina, but they ultimately decided not to enroll him. So he reached out to me and said, ‘Hey, Mark, you have a solid team; you should consider getting AJ Ferrari.’ Honestly, I hadn’t even thought about it.”
Meanwhile, Belichick is preparing for his inaugural season as the football coach at North Carolina after a remarkable 24 years with six Super Bowl wins under his belt with the Patriots.
Reports suggest Hudson faced restrictions from UNC’s soccer facilities following an awkward appearance on “CBS Sunday Morning” alongside Belichick in April, though the university has denied these claims, stating that while Jordon Hudson is not an employee, she is welcome at the Carolina soccer facilities.
The couple began their relationship in 2023 and went public with it on June 24th.
