Jordon Hudson’s friends would rather shift the focus to what Bill Belichick is creating at UNC instead of revisiting past holiday drama involving the coach’s ex.
On Wednesday, Miss Massachusetts USA Melissa Sapini shared her thoughts regarding an incident report from a celebratory event in Nantucket last December. This event included a tense moment with Linda Holiday, Hudson’s former girlfriend, who reportedly became emotional when her name came up in discussion.
“While I recognize the buzz surrounding Dreamland events, my focus right now is on what truly matters,” Sapini commented. She made this statement during the “strolling party,” which she attended alongside Hudson, 24, on December 6.
“I just want to highlight the tremendous effort and commitment of the UNC football team,” she continued.
Belichick, now 73, is gearing up for his inaugural season coaching the Tar Heels.
Interestingly, there was a message from Sapini after TMZ reported on the incident, as Holiday’s split from Belichick made headlines in 2023. The report claimed that Hudson confronted Holiday at the Dreamland event, stating that she hadn’t done anything wrong.
Details from security footage indicated that Hudson defended Holiday during the event, saying, “She did nothing wrong.” There were also comments from pageant staff suggesting that Sapini felt “threatened” by Ms. Holiday. It seems if Sapini wants to hold onto her title, she might need to reconsider her stance regarding her friend and the strong connections Holiday has in the pageant community.
Sapini remained silent during some moments, while the pageant winner visibly broke down in tears.
In December, Sapini shared an Instagram post reflecting on a walk around Nantucket with Hudson, captioning it, “Oh, we went for a walk.”
Hudson, who has faced considerable attention regarding her relationship with Belichick, has turned to Sapini as she navigates this new chapter alongside the eight-time Super Bowl champion.
In January, Sapini was seen courtside at a UNC basketball game, sharing a moment with friends and the UNC mascot.
Rumors surrounding a potential engagement between Hudson and Belichick also began to circulate in 2025. They first appeared publicly together in 2021 and formalized their relationship three years later.
Recently, the New York Times reported that Hudson mentioned she and Belichick are “engaged in getting married.” It’s certainly an evolving story with a lot of layers to it.
