Joseph Baena Wins First Bodybuilding Competition
Call them twins. Joseph Baena, son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, made waves by winning his first bodybuilding competition on Saturday, reinforcing the idea that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
The 28-year-old shared his achievement on Instagram, revealing he secured first place in several categories at the NPC Natural Colorado state competition.
In his post, Baena showcased his impressive physique with a proud photo taken during the event.
“Mission accomplished! 🥇,” he captioned the photo, highlighting his wins in categories such as Men’s Open Bodybuilding Heavyweight, Men’s Classic Physique True Novice, and Men’s Classic Physique Novice.
Just last week, Baena shared a moment where his father, 78, was helping him train at the gym. While lifting weights, Schwarzenegger watched intently, supporting his son, whom he shares with former housekeeper Mildred Baena.
Joseph humorously wrote, “Must shock my muscles!” in the post.
Schwarzenegger certainly knows what he’s talking about. He’s a seven-time Mr. Olympia champion and has also taken home the Mr. Universe title five times.
Baena has three other siblings from Schwarzenegger’s marriage to Maria Shriver: Patrick (32), Christopher (28), Katherine (36), and Christina (34).
In an unrelated note, Christopher recently surprised fans by sharing his significant weight loss transformation.
He had spoken about this journey, describing it as “a big process” that began back in 2019 while he was in Australia. Reflecting on his struggles, he mentioned, “I realized how much my weight was interfering with my daily life,” and recounted a particular moment when he wanted to go skydiving, only to be told by a friend, “Yeah, no shot.”
