Josh Allen sets touchdown record as Bills secure victory against Steelers

Buffalo Bills Triumph Over Pittsburgh Steelers

This Sunday, Josh Allen showcased his skills, leading the Buffalo Bills to a 26-7 victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers, bolstered by a strong defensive performance and an impressive ground game.

In the fourth quarter, Allen made a critical 8-yard run, scoring a touchdown that pushed Buffalo’s lead to 23-7. This marked the 76th rushing touchdown of his career, placing him ahead of Cam Newton for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in NFL history. It’s a significant milestone.

He also added a touchdown pass to Keon Coleman, finishing with 15 completions on 23 attempts for a total of 123 passing yards while rushing for 38 yards. It was, I think, quite a notable performance overall.

James Cook III was a standout on the ground for the Bills, accumulating 144 yards on 32 carries. The team managed a total of 249 rushing yards, a remarkable feat against the Steelers.

The defense of the Bills was another crucial factor in the win. Buffalo started the second half strong, outscoring Pittsburgh 7-3. A fumble recovery by cornerback Christian Benford, after defensive end Joey Bosa applied pressure on Aaron Rodgers, led to a touchdown. Rodgers even found himself ejected from the game briefly.

Mason Rudolph stepped in afterward but didn’t fare much better, throwing an interception to Benford. The defense truly shined, contributing to the Bills’ unanswered points that sealed their victory.

On the other side, Rodgers finished with 10 completions out of 21 throws for 117 yards, and Steelers’ running back Jalen Warren led his team with 35 rushing yards and a lone touchdown.

With this win, the Bills improved their season record to 8-4, while Pittsburgh fell to 6-6. It’s been an interesting season, hasn’t it? Let’s see how things unfold from here.
