Josh Allen's ex-girlfriend claims her Instagram account was hacked after derogatory comments were posted about the Bills quarterback following his engagement to actress Hailey Seinfeld.
“My account was hacked several times tonight,” Brittany Williams wrote on her Instagram Story on Friday. “Trying to solve it. If anyone has any tips, please Imk.”
Shortly after the happy news about Mr. Williams and Mr. Seinfeld, Mr. Williams spoke out after a screenshot of a post that appeared to imply that Mr. Allen was a “brain-dead CTE athlete” circulated on the Internet.
The comment attributed to Williams was said to be her tongue-in-cheek retort to internet trolls who tried to ridicule the current status of her relationship with Allen, who is moving toward marriage.
“Luckily my boyfriend owns the team and doesn't play on the team,” Williams allegedly replied. “I don't need to be around other brain-dead CTE athletes.”
The comment has since been deleted from her account.
Allen and Williams, longtime friends, dated from 2017 to 2023. It is unclear at this time who Williams is romantically involved with. Her representative did not respond to Page Six's request for comment.
Allen, 28, made a quick transition from the 29-year-old “Pitch Perfect” star in May 2023, before Instagram went official a year later.
Allen is scheduled to lead the Bills against the 49ers on this week's “Sunday Night Football,” with heavy snow and wintry weather expected in the Buffalo area.
The Bills are currently 9-2 and should once again be on their way to winning the AFC East.
Allen is having another great season, completing 64.0 percent of his passes for 2,543 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 11 games. He also scored 5 goals.
