Knicks Facing Challenges Against the Nets

The Knicks will be without Josh Hart again for their upcoming match against the Nets.

Hart is dealing with patellofemoral syndrome in his right knee, which is a noticeable shift from last week when he missed games against Utah State and Indiana due to soreness in his left knee.

Interestingly, Hart delivered his best performance of the season just last Tuesday, scoring 33 points against the Pacers at Madison Square Garden.

On a brighter note, Jalen Brunson will make his return. He missed Tuesday’s game due to managing right ankle issues and some neck tightness, but he practiced fully on Thursday, which is a relief.

The Knicks had a remarkable streak, winning 13 consecutive games against the Nets before this matchup. However, Brunson seemed uninterested in discussing the winning streak, simply stating, “No comment,” after practice. He added that his focus is strictly on winning the game ahead.

The last time these teams clashed, the Knicks recorded a staggering 54-point victory at Madison Square Garden, marking the largest margin of victory in their history.

Interestingly, that win came during a time when the team was at a low point, having lost nine of their last eleven games, and it helped to reignite their season.

Brunson emphasized the importance of a fresh mindset: “We have to be ready. Short-term memory. Whatever the result, the next time we play, we need to be prepared.”

In a different vein, Jose Alvarado recently featured in an AT&T commercial alongside notable players like Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Patrick Ewing, and John Starks. This marks Alvarado’s first foray into commercials, and he expressed his excitement, saying, “That’s what New York can do for you: get you in commercials.” He had a hint of humor about the experience as he mentioned, “The commercial turned out to be pretty bad,” but his enthusiasm for the opportunity still shines through.
