In the end, two extended hands were decisive. The first one from Bruno Fernandez probably denied Manchester United's victory. The second from Andre Onana definitely denied the one of Real Sociedad. After poor quality, Manchester United gave Real Sociedad the first leg lead when Joshua Zilky led a side-road shot over Alex Remiro, who seemed to have set a potential big enough to see them virtually, not just for victory.
