Josina Anderson fumes over ‘arrogant’ Shedeur Sanders rumors from combine

One story about Colorado quarterback and potential 2025 NFL draft pick Chedure Sanders got nervous about NFL reporter Jocina Anderson.

Anderson reflected on Sanders' unnamed quarterback coach's ratings at the NFL combine and vented her frustration with the X.

“I'm disappointed to hear that the quarterback coach for the team drafted in the top seven has called Chedure Sanders “brash” and “rog haughty” in his team interview and that he is known to many people about his ratings,” Anderson wrote.

“I don't deliberately name the team so I don't call them directly. I share this coach's personal rating is the opposite of how Sanders met many reporters at press conferences with the media at the Combine. Sanders seemed out of the way to acknowledge multiple media members, whether recognizable or not. He seemed confident (as many athletes do), heartfelt, polite, witty and thoughtful. Or perhaps these observations were clearly different from how another QB lead appeared in Indy's media last year.”

Sanders spoke to the media at the NFL Combine on February 28th, wearing a backward hat and a big smile through questions, and in particular about his training with Tom Brady.

After combining, Tony Pauline Sportkida reported that the team is beginning to get sour at Sanders, saying that there hasn't been much improvement over the years for Sanders and that “he's been a little bit off by his antics since January.”

“According to the league's sources, QB coaches appear to have issues with the 'culture' of athletes who achieved widespread fame and financial success before entering the NFL, and in their * opinion, it appears that certain athletes have issues.

“This is how pre-draft ratings are jacked for raters who seem to have no discernmental power to detect intangible traits connected to will and to win without statistical, or to be drawn in analytical reports. He was literally Sanders' son, and despite his growth that differed from most people, he seemed to be pretty grounded. Hopefully, the potential bias against 'culture' is being checked at the door so that it doesn't unfairly affect inventory and business.

“Modern college athletes have evolved to the extent of the business and opportunity surrounding them before they enter the professional league. It sounds like Sanders is also going to need adaptation.”

Negative rumors about prospects often emerge from the combine for a variety of reasons, including some teams trying to create smokescreens for players who are actually interested in drafting themselves.

Deion recently said he warned Shedeur that this would happen.

“I told him, 'First of all, don't believe anything they say. People criticize you, so you fall into them. That's right. Deion, his university coach in Colorado, said, “I'm not a fan of my life.”

“So don't believe it. It's positioning now. But he's talking to people who make the move, so he's not listening to the media. He's talking to the head coach, the GM and all of the first three teams because that's where I think he'll land somewhere there.”

ESPN's Melkipper Currently, mock Sanders finished seventh overall with the Jets, but he was also rumored to go to the Giants as No. 3.

Miami's Come Ward appears to have been free to break and could be the first quarterback taken in the draft.

Statistically, Sanders improved from 2023 to 2024, throwing 4,134 yards compared to 3,230 the previous year.

Sanders threw 37 touchdowns after throwing just 27 in 2023.

Colorado went 9-4 last season after a terrible 4-8 season the previous year.
