journalist 10 people Tucson rally affiliated mystery illness

About 20 people who attended a Trump rally in Tucson, Arizona last week reported mysterious symptoms after the rally, including blurred vision and facial swelling. It's still not clear what happened, but many are speculating that it may have been a chemical attack.

Could the strange illnesses that afflicted attendees be the result of further political violence instigated by Democrats and the mainstream media?

Political journalist Christy Kelly joins Jill Savage and the “Blaze News Tonight” panel to discuss some serious developments.

“This was no ordinary rally,” Kelly said, mainly because “there was a lot of agitation leading up to the rally.”

“Linda Ronstadt, for whom the venue is named, posted a lengthy social media post expressing her discomfort with Trump being there,” Kelly said. She said she “was a fan of 10 [of the people] All of them were suffering from some mysterious illness and happened to be sitting in the back. [Trump].”

“What did these people say to you?” asks Matthew Peterson, editor-in-chief of Blaze Media.

Kelly said those affected reported that “all of the gatherings went smoothly.”

But after the meeting, strange illnesses began to occur.

“Everyone I spoke to said that 20 to 30 minutes after they left the rally, their eyes started to become blurred and their vision became hazy. Some said their noses started to sting. Some said they developed redness that got worse and worse,” she said, adding that most of those she spoke to “ended up in the emergency room” and some were then “referred to an eye doctor.”

“The two people I spoke to were referred to an ophthalmologist and gave me documentation showing chemical burns to both eyes,” she said.

“The emergency room doctors didn't offer a very clear diagnosis,” he said, suggesting the strange symptoms could be due to “overexposure to light” or “airborne irritants,” but an ophthalmologist's report suggested it was “some kind of chemical burn.”

Though both the event center and local police were notified of the situation, Kelly said he has “not heard a statement from either the facility or the Tucson Police Department.”

Thankfully, the Trump campaign is taking the initiative to investigate what happened.

“I know the local Trump campaign is working on this issue. They're responding to all the complaints and I believe they're leading an investigation into what's going on,” Kelly said.
