Journey abruptly stops concert after electrical fire, and fans keep singing popular lyrics

Arena Band Journey suddenly stopped the concert on Friday night with the Houston Rodeo Mid Song, but the crowd continued the show.

The band was playing their 1981 hit, “Don't Stop Believin'.” About 30 seconds after the song, the music cut off and the arena band became darker.

Still, the devoted crowd went on to sing the next line appropriately. Social media video shared Guitarist Neil Shen and fans showed it.

“Don't believe Houston for singing the song before we rushed off the stage due to an electric fire and couldn't get back.”

– Neil Shen

Shen said “it felt bad for the fans and offered to play “rodeo” on “Saturday Night” and make up for Y'all, but they couldn't make it happen until next time – love and respect.”
