Joyriders crashed empty Queens subway car: cops

Their night had really gone crazy.

Police said two people, one of them wearing a pink shower cap and hot pants, snuck onto an empty train at a subway station in Queens and rode recklessly for a short time before crashing into the train.

The duo, dressed in distinctive clothing, were caught on camera wandering around an unoccupied vehicle at Briarwood Police Station just after midnight last Thursday, according to footage released by the NYPD late Tuesday.

“Two unknown individuals entered an empty train and drove, causing a collision and damage to the train,” the New York Police Department said in a statement, appealing for information about the two men who fled on foot.

It was not immediately clear how they gained access to the train or how they were able to operate it.

The NYPD did not immediately respond to The Washington Post's inquiries about when the train was running or the extent of the damage, but police said no one was injured in the incident.

Police said the most distinctive appearance of the suspect was that of a medium-sized woman wearing all pink clothing, including a shower cap, crop top, hot pants and a bag.

The other was a skinny man wearing a blue tank top, red shorts and carrying a black backpack.
