Juan Soto lineup comments show how powerful Mets can be

The way everything was unfolded felt like something only Van Soto’s magic could produce.

In the hours before the Mets opened the series in Minnesota on Monday, Soto told Post’s Mike Puma about how the pitcher attacked Pete Alonso differently as he waited on the deck, in contrast to Judge Aaron last year. I came across as a rationalising/smirking line when Alonso reached .356 with a slugging percentage of 0.729 and was quickly approaching the Mets’ best home run record of all time, when he used the phrase “best hitter in baseball behind me” to refer to the phrase “best hitter in baseball behind me.”

But then Soto goes outside during the Mets’ victory and gets home, suggesting that as questions and questions start piling up against slower than expected start, $765 million men and generations of batters will find a way to produce.

It really captured the Mets’ first 16 games perfectly. With Soto Homering relying on a walk and looking to endanger the majors’ roster spot, even if Brett Baty hits just .139, it appears he’s putting his roster in danger, even if Mark Vientos hits .138 with zero. – After postseason heroes, the Mets still led the National League East.
