Juan Soto puts on epic three-homer show for Yankees

CHICAGO — Juan Soto’s long list of milestones added to itself Tuesday night at Guaranteed Rate Field.

The Yankees star hit three home runs in one game for the first time in his career, leading his team to a 4-0 lead in the seventh inning against the White Sox.

Soto hit his first two home runs of the day in the opposite direction, then smashed his third home run into right field in a left-handed matchup in the top of the seventh inning.

Soto came damn close overnight to breaking his career-high of 35 home runs in a season, which he hit last year with the Padres.

He scored 33 points in his first season in a pinstriped uniform and is continuing his incredible run with another year ahead of the offseason free agent showdown.

When Soto hit his second home run of the day off White Sox right-hander Jonathan Cannon in the fifth inning, it marked the 23rd time in his career that he has hit two home runs in a single game.

He then added to that record with a long hit in the seventh inning off left-handed reliever Fraser Elard.
