Judge Approves Restraining Order for ‘The Little Mermaid’ Actress Against Her Ex-Boyfriend

Halle Bailey Secures Restraining Order Against Ex-Boyfriend

A judge has granted actress Halle Bailey a domestic violence restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, who allegedly assaulted her. This move comes after Bailey filed a police report in Los Angeles, seeking protection for herself and her 18-month-old son.

The rapper, known as DDG—his real name is Daryl Dwayne Cranberry—reportedly became abusive shortly after their split in January. Bailey shared that a heated argument occurred while she was getting her son, Harrow, into DDG’s car.

During this altercation, he allegedly told her, “Get out of my car, bitch.” Following this, Bailey claims DDG pulled her hair and pushed her face against the car door, all while her son was upset. She mentioned that the altercation left her with visible injuries.

In her request for protection, Bailey expressed her fear for both her own safety and that of her child, stating, “We can’t allow this abuse anymore.” She also provided photographic evidence of her injuries related to the alleged abuse.

Bailey reported that DDG entered her home without her consent, claiming he sent her a message with a photo of her empty bed, saying, “I know what you’re laughing at right now.”

After returning to her home days later, Bailey told DDG that she and their son were unwell, requesting he not take the child. However, he became verbally abusive, allegedly damaging her ring camera and throwing her phone out the window while driving, shouting things like, “Get a bitch.”

Bailey claims she has video evidence to back her accusations. Over the weekend, while in St. Lucia, DDG reportedly sent her numerous messages, even linking to social media posts suggesting she was seeing singer Brent Fayyaz.

The court ordered DDG to maintain a distance of 100 yards from Bailey and granted her permission to take their son to Italy, where she will be filming for two months. DDG is also instructed to refrain from any online mentions of Bailey or their child.

Furthermore, Bailey requested that DDG attend a 52-week batterer intervention program, with proof of completion required. The next court hearing is set for June 4th.
