The federal judge says there It’s a possible cause President Donald Trump has been dismissed for refusing to end deportation flights from previous rulings.
US District Judge James Boasberg issued an emergency order against the flight of illegal immigrants ordered by President Donald Trump on March 15th. The president has invoked alien enemy laws since 1798, and critics say it is being applied inappropriately to the immigration crisis.
“The President is 100% committed to ensuring that terrorists and illegal criminal immigrants are no longer a threat to Americans and their communities across the country.”
Boasberg, who has been criticized for criticizing him for political bias, said Wednesday that he found a possible cause for Trump to “deliberately ignore” the order.
“The Constitution does not tolerate intentional disobedience of judicial orders, particularly by officials from the coordinate branch who have made an oath to support it.” I said Wednesday.
“The court ultimately finds that the government’s actions that day indicate a willful disregard for the order and is sufficient to conclude that there is a possible cause for the court to find the government in criminal contense,” he added.
The emergency order was intended to allow the court to fully consider the merits of the case. Boasberg said all flights had to be cancelled and flights along the way would have to return to the US, but that didn’t happen.
Boasberg called on the administration to make a declaration by April 23rd or face a referral from the prosecutor.
White House Communications Director Stephen Chan responded to the order with a brief statement on social media.
“We’re going to seek immediate appeal relief,” he said. “The president is 100% committed to ensuring that terrorists and illegal criminal immigrants are no longer a threat to Americans and their communities across the country.”
Boasberg portrayed a minor sign after Justice Department lawyers failed to meet their request for information about the flight.
“If you really believed that everything you did that day was legal and endured the challenges of the court, you wouldn’t have run your way,” the judge said.
The Trump administration previously responded by saying that the judge had “a massive and fraudulent charge on enforcement agencies that eliminate dangerous aliens.”
