Democrats are clearly not shy about weaponizing the justice system to send their political opponents to prison. If they’re going after former President Donald Trump and his allies, “they’re going to go after you, too,” former Trump adviser Peter Navarro said in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News Washington bureau chief Matthew Boyle at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday, the same day Boyle was released from prison.
Navarro, who was jailed for contempt of Congress, told Boyle that Democrats are clearly using the legal warfare and weaponizing the justice system to jail their political opponents.
“They have done so without hesitation,” he said after being released from federal prison on Wednesday morning and experiencing it firsthand.
Navarro elaborated on the importance of telling the truth in a world that is hostile to conservatives, and praised Breitbart News for uncovering and exposing the truth.
“As I speak tonight and just walk around, I have a very simple message: ‘They can come after me, as they certainly did. They can come after Donald Trump, as they definitely do. They can come after you.’ And the tagline of my speech tonight is, ‘If we don’t control our government, their government will control us,'” he said, revealing that he is “living proof” that Democrats can use a weaponized system of “rigging” and lo-fi to put political opponents in prison.
“They have done so without hesitation and they must be held accountable for that. That is not the America I grew up in. That is not the America we want. We want Trump’s America, not Joe Biden’s America,” he said.
Navarro noted that he sent both him and Steve Bannon to prison and “literally” shot the president.
“Judgment day is coming. Accountability is going to be held. It’s Election Day, OK? So, guys here, I don’t care how good it looks right now. … We’ve got to run like we’re behind. So we’re going to go down some states, including the one we’re sitting in right now,” he said of Wisconsin, slamming President Joe Biden.
“He put me in jail. Let me be clear, there’s a list of about 20 people who put me in jail, and they’re all Democrats. He’s on the list because this is a critical time in the process of Congress holding me in contempt. Joe Biden stripped me of executive privilege, which was unconstitutional. He couldn’t do it, and Judge Kavanaugh ruled in my favor on that. But one of the messages I want to get across here, and I’ll be trying to get this across over the next few days, is that in order to win in November, we can’t just unify the Republican Party. We have to unify this country,” he said.
“My message, much of which is in the book, is that we need to reach out to all of the Democrats who feel disengaged or disenfranchised or disgusted by Biden and the radical left,” he added, referring to his book.
