Julian Hall Named MLS All-Star

One of the emerging talents from Red Bull New York has earned an All-Star spot in MLS.

On Wednesday, Julian Hall was chosen as the commissioner’s designated player for the MLS All-Star Game, set to take place against the LIGA MX All-Stars on July 29 at Bank of America Stadium.

This accolade adds to the achievements of the 18-year-old, who currently leads his team with nine goals in 15 regular-season matches this year.

Hall netted his first two career goals during the season opener against Orlando City SC. With nine goals, he ranks among the top ten scorers in the league this season.

He made history by scoring a hat trick in a 3–2 victory over the Columbus Crew on May 13, becoming the youngest player in MLS history to achieve this feat at just 18 years and 50 days old.

With this announcement, Hall joins an exclusive group as the third player from New York to be selected for the MLS All-Star team.

A native of Manhattan, he follows in the footsteps of former Red Bulls defender Mike Petke and midfielder Tyler Adams, both of whom also hail from New York.

Reflecting on his performance, Hall shared that after training at the club’s new facility in Morristown, New Jersey, he felt the first half of the season had been “decent.”

“For me personally, I’m always aiming to improve,” he told reporters. “We had a solid first half, but there’s always room for growth, especially as we approach the playoffs.”

The Red Bulls are currently sitting fifth in the Eastern Conference and have won three of their last four games heading into the World Cup break.

Head coach Michael Bradley mentioned that the team plans to use this World Cup hiatus as a “second preseason.”

“Historically, the teams that find their rhythm and gain momentum in the latter half of the season are the ones that perform best in crunch time,” he noted.
