Recently, the 38-year-old co-host of “Dancing with the Stars” shared some memories from her exciting getaway with friends in Sardinia, Italy. During the trip, she enjoyed thrilling activities like cliff diving, exploring quaint villages, and relaxing on the beach.
In one of her vacation pictures, Hough is seen unwinding on a beach chair in a white string bikini. She beautifully captured the moment as she leaned back, wearing black sunglasses and a white mesh headscarf, with a lively coastline dotted with beachgoers and yachts in the background.
“I keep reminiscing about Sardinia and how special it was to share that experience with my daughters,” she mentioned on Instagram. “There’s something about seeing the world with loved ones that makes everything feel a bit more vibrant.”
Hough also took the opportunity to show off another swimsuit in a peaceful moment while overlooking the coast, sitting on a lounge chair beneath a rustic canopy in a dark string bikini, with a wrap tied loosely around her waist.
The location provided stunning views of the rocky shoreline and tranquil waters, which naturally inspired her to reflect on the beauty of the region. “The beauty, the food, nature, the peace… I’m already daydreaming about returning. Where shall we venture next? Who will join?” she pondered.
Keeping active during her trip was also a priority for Hough; she shared a shot of herself practicing yoga on a wooden deck with a sea view. This moment was part of a post where she reflected on the leisurely lifestyle she experienced while there. “An ode to the nonnas of Sardinia… feeling their warmth and the sense that they lived fulfilling lives,” she wrote. It seems the trip left her contemplating the balance between ambition and simply enjoying life away from the grind. “Do I feel like a typical American in Europe? I love my work and aspirations, but as I age, I think I’d prefer to be a grandma with stories rather than someone who worked themselves into the ground.”
Hough expressed her gratitude for her stay, thanking the hotel for reminding her to slow down, breathe in the salty air, savor the wine, and cherish the moments that unfolded around her.
She also swapped her beach attire for a more elegant outfit during her travels, donning a strapless coral pink dress that flowed beautifully as she posed along a picturesque street lined with stone buildings. This vacation seemed perfectly timed for her to unwind before diving back into the busy world of “Dancing with the Stars.” Hough has been with the show since its inception as a professional dancer in 2007, later becoming a judge and co-host.
Earlier in the year, she reflected on the series’ surprising longevity, acknowledging how it was initially met with skepticism due to its unique premise. Now, over two decades later, she notes that its authenticity and dedication to storytelling have been key to its ongoing success.
