Julie Bowen shares the fate of a ‘Modern Family’ reunion

Nothing can come between this (modern) family.

Julie Bowen recently revealed that her beloved Dunphy-Pritchett staff could reunite as Modern Family.

When asked if she planned to participate, Bowen exclusively told the New York Post, “Yes.” “Of course I would put up a fight. I can't imagine any of us wouldn't. We're both fools.”

Regarding that possibility actually Will it bear fruit?

“I don't know,” Bowen admitted. “As you know, it is [Steven] with Levitan [Christophoer] It's Lloyd after all. ”

Lately, the “Totally Killer” star has her hands full playing a very different type of mother than Claire Dunphy in the new peacock thriller “Hysteria.”

Bowen plays Linda Campbell, a mother who runs a salon in a small town during the famous “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s.

“It wasn't the fear that attracted me.” [to the script] Because, like I said, I get scared easily. “The idea was to play a mother who was completely different than she seemed,” she said. “I love Claire Dunphy and I've played her for 11 years. But with Claire, what you see is what you get. And that's what's great about her. Linda is a dark creature. She seems like a special person, but by the end of this season, you'll be surprised.

Bowen added, “It's just a fun acting challenge and it's exciting to kind of subvert expectations of me as an actress and what it means to be in a bubble where you start believing crazy things. It was exciting to ask these questions,” he added. ? ”

JB What is the Skrub founder's most memorable behind-the-scenes moment?

“So many fun things happened,” Bowen recalled. “One of the things that people may not expect or know is that Noland North, for people who are new to Nolan North, and I'm new to Nolan North, he's funny. I think it's the man. And even on the most serious days of filming, even after the most horrifying and gruesome scenes, he made me laugh until I cried. I also got a winning husband on TV. I’m very lucky to have it.”

But after filming such intense scenes with co-stars Nolan North and Bruce Campbell, the actress has had to distance herself from her character.

“I literally box breathe,” Bowen confessed. “It's like what Navy SEALs do! Inhale for 3 seconds, hold your breath for 3 seconds, exhale for 6 seconds. Actually, I don't know if it's technically a box, but it's a rectangle. It may be close, but after a mentally chaotic day, it can be very helpful in calming your mind.”

And “Hubie Halloween” alumni also need to “switch up” the content they consume.

“You have to wear something light or listen to a podcast,” Bowen said. “I love history and history podcasts. At the end of the day, I have to leave Linda.”

“I listen to women who read stories. Stories where nothing happens,” she continued. “It's like a walk on an autumn day. Besides, your brain is just in a gray area, which is fine with me.”
