As the second day of former President Donald Trump’s hush money criminal trial continues, the former president’s lawyers have dismissed a potential juror after they discovered a post calling for Trump to be jailed.

The first seven jurors have been selected to sit on a 12-person bench.

Over two days, dozens of potential jurors were excused because they could not be impartial or had other obligations. Trump’s lawyers have challenged several of them over social media posts, and one was fired over a 2017 “Lock him up!” post about Trump.
According to Marchan Admitted According to the Daily Mail, Trump’s comments about locking up Trump were bad and he didn’t think he could “keep” potential jurors in the trial.

“We all know that if Mr. Trump is convicted in this case, he could face prison time,” Marchand said.
On the first day, more than 50 of the 96 potential jurors were dismissed for lack of impartiality.
Other prospective jurors who advanced into the second day of the trial included one person who allegedly posted on social media, “I predict Republicans will win 70 seats in prison.” This potential juror was also not selected.
Another prospective juror posted a video parodying President Trump on March 27 with the words, “I’m a fucking idiot.” This jury was also dismissed.
In April 2023, Mr. Braggs indicted Mr. Trump on 34 counts of first-degree falsification of business records related to payments he made to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.
