Reports from American Gun Owners (GOA) indicated that the DOJ and ATF’s zero-tolerance policy aimed at closing gun dealers through administrative mistakes was repealed by the Biden administration.

In a significant Second Amendment triumph, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) have today declared the repeal of the contentious federal Firearms Administrative Action Policy, commonly referred to as the Zero Tolerance Policy. This policy, which was initially implemented under the Biden administration, specifically targeted gun dealers to instill fear and uncertainty within the firearms community.
“For many years, zero tolerance policies have served as a mechanism for political vengeance, aiming at gun shops and Americans exercising their rights,” stated Erich Pratt, senior vice president of GOA. “We applaud President Trump, the Attorney General, and Coach Kash Patel for heeding the voices of gun owners and acting to eliminate this oppressive policy.
The NRA also commended the elimination of the zero-tolerance policy.
American Firearms Association Posted on x likewise stated, “ATF Director Kash Patel has rescinded the ATF ‘zero tolerance’ policy for FFL’s ATF, which was used to close down FFLS. The ATF has been terminated!”
