Justin Baldoni says Blake Lively added a spontaneous kiss in 'It Ends with Us' scene

Legal Dispute Between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively

It seems the drama isn’t limited to the screen.

Justin Baldoni has made allegations in recent legal documents that Blake Lively became aggressive on the set of *It Ends with Us* and that there was an unscripted kiss between them.

In a filing dated November 13, Baldoni’s production firm, Wayfarer, asserted that a particular clip shows an unplanned argument between Lively, 38, and Baldoni, 41, and that the scene wasn’t part of the original script.

Baldoni’s lawyer stated that Lively’s character initiates a kiss on Baldoni’s character in every take, despite there being no such direction in the script.

The video, reportedly filmed in May 2023, reportedly features Lively’s character, Lily Bloom, encountering Baldoni’s Lyle Kincaid in a work setting. During this interaction, Lily apologizes and gives a quick kiss but later expresses affection in a casual manner.

Baldoni’s character seems taken aback, then discards his phone and calls for a cut.

The Post has reached out to Lively’s representative for a comment.

This latest filing appears to add complexity to an already contentious legal situation between the two actors.

Lively initiated legal action against Baldoni in December 2024, claiming sexual harassment and retaliation.

Baldoni has denied her accusations and countered with a $400 million lawsuit against her and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, which was eventually dismissed by a judge.

In her initial complaint, Lively accused Baldoni of creating “impromptu physical intimacy” without prior discussion or rehearsal.

After meetings with Reynolds and other producers in January 2024, Wayfarer agreed to engage an intimacy coordinator and promised no more unplanned kisses.

However, Baldoni’s team has asserted that only scripted kisses were filmed prior to the Hollywood strike and that the so-called unscripted moment occurred before the strike commenced on May 13, 2023.

Documents reveal that Lively has alleged an inappropriate kiss occurred during the initial filming phase. Nonetheless, Baldoni’s team claims that only two scripted kissing scenes were actually shot at that time.

Amid this courtroom conflict, conversations between Baldoni and Colleen Hoover, author of *It Ends with Us*, recently came to light. Reports indicate that Hoover felt compelled to navigate her loyalties between Lively and Baldoni and expressed disappointment towards Baldoni during their conflict.

Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni is slated for trial in March 2026.
